spring 2019 internships
We are searching for two amazing interns to join our team at The Refinery! Interns must be available approximately 15 hours per week Feb 1 - May 10, 2019.
We are looking for candidates who embody the following attributes:
Go-getter, people person, with a positive attitude and always willing to contribute and help with any problem
Loves the startup culture and Austin of course!
Is a great team player, but can also get work done independently
Loves to creative problem solve and brainstorm
Driven, motivated, & hard working
Always has a smile on their face
Events and Programming Internship:
Assist with venue space bookings, giving tours of the space, handling event scheduling and answering any event related questions
Assist with designing & producing Refinery hosted events including end-to-end event design, planning, and production, securing vendors & sponsors, selecting decor, handling run of show, and generating ticket sales
Manage venue and event marketing including CANVAS at The Refinery’s social media pages (@canvasatx)
List events on website calendar and put together materials for marketing team to promote events
Secure relationships with local vendors and Austin brands
Social Media and Marketing Internship:
Manage social media platforms for The Refinery (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest) by creating content calendars for 5-7 posts a week and multiple daily posts on Instagram
Oversee blog content and creation
Assist with email marketing and press outreach to grow brand awareness and generate leads for both membership and events
Head up weekly newsletters
Graphic design and copywriting skills are a plus!
