Career Questions:

Tell us a little bit about what you do… I am the founder and CEO of BriteIdea Marketing and I genuinely give a damn about the local small - medium sized businesses of Austin. Start-ups and small businesses typically don’t have the resources available to have an internal marketing team, so that’s where we come in! We act as their in-house marketing team with capabilities that include all of the facets needed to strategize, launch and sustain a successful digital marketing and growth strategy. On the surface we do everything from web development, social media management, SEO, targeted ad buying, email marketing and content creation. But we’re not interested in following the standard textbooks, applying the same formulas or going through the same motions that every other digital marketing agency does. We understand that each business is unique, and that’s exactly how their marketing strategy should be too!

What’s the most exciting part of your job? Seeing killer results and growth! Not only for our clients but for my team members as well. I am fortunate to employ 4 talented people who share the same ideology and goals for our clients. We are constantly pushing each other to better our best and I couldn't ask for anything more exciting than that. I’d also say, the array of different people and clients we get to work with on a daily basis. They range from wineries, clothing brands, home services and even tech companies. It's cool to be so well rounded that we don't necessarily need to have a  niche industry we support.

What was your first job and how did you get it? My VERY first job was Round Table Pizza at the ripe age of 15 in San Diego, my sister was my manager so she pulled a few strings (Hey it always pays to know somebody AmIRight? ;) ) After my pizza making days were over, I moved on to being the Marketing Assistant at an HVAC company while I was studying Business & Marketing at San Diego State University. I had the opportunity to work directly under the owner and VP of Marketing & Sales where I quickly learned that marketing goes beyond the campaign and to truly win a customer for life you have to create a memorable experience for them from first interaction to the very last. I worked with every department of the company to share this theory and my love for marketing and business development blossomed because it was such a valuable and important role.
